Inclusive Interviewing: In interview invitations, state that accommodations are available upon request.
Why Should I Do This? It creates a welcoming and inclusive environment from the very first interaction. By explicitly mentioning the availability of accommodations, you signal that your organization is prepared to support all candidates. This can make a person with a disability, a temporary health condition, or a neurodivergent individual feel more comfortable and confident in the process. It removes the burden of having to be the first to ask, which can sometimes be intimidating or awkward. This simple statement can allow the candidate to focus on the interview itself, knowing their needs will be met.
